The 2020 Primer 29 Elite combines our redesigned Trail-optimised platform with 29" Wheels and a truly Elite spec level to give you a head-turner that'll perform daily as well as on the big occasions.
Completely redesigned from the ground up, the Primer 29 Elite is exquisitely made from our Optimised Layup carbon boasting a monocoque frame and more rigid dual-strut rear triangle. The bike also makes use of our all-new JS Trail Link carbon top link, which with a turn of the new Flip Chip axle bolt allows you to tweak the Primer's geometry to better suit fast flowy Trails or rougher terrain.
The frame is completed with quality detailing including titanium hardware, rattle-free internal shift, brake and dropper cable guides and thicker, broader rubber frame Protectors. It's also beautifully painted in rich, crisp colours with decal-free logos for a high-end finish that sets it apart from the competition.

The high-performance Fox Factory 34 fork and Fox Factory DPX2 shock will be tuned specifically for you by our own Intense Cycles UK mechanics so you can get straight onto the Trails and ride with confidence.

About The Primer 29
The Primer is our one-bike quiver, 140mm do-everything Trail bike with longer, slacker, more aggressive geometry. The Primer offers outstanding, confidence-inspiring rideability built specifically for the Trail. Available in three wheel sizes – 27.5”, 29” and the staggered Primer S with its 29” wheel up front and 27.5” at the rear – the Primer range offers something for everyone, each designed to offer eXCeptional performance.
A combination of race-inspired development and our dedication to eXCellence has meant hundreds of hours of Prototyping and testing by the Intense team and Intense Factory Racing, resulting in innovative new design features.
The completely revised frame utilises our new JS Trail Link, which perfectly bridges the gap between XC pedalling efficiency and bump compliance of the Enduro link. Using our new Flip Chip geometry, within a few seconds you can transform the Primer’s head tube and seat tube angle, bottom bracket height and suspension – flipping between firmer rear suspension for faster, less technical terrain or maximum suppleness when things get rocky.
We’ve also created a new dual-strut design rear triangle that makes the most of your power while reducing flex for a deft, confidence-inspiring ride experience. Other changes include a threaded bottom bracket for rock solid bearing performance and larger, thicker rubber frame Protectors.
